Acting career
Vidhubala acted in over 100 Malayalam films. Her first movie was School Master, in which she acted as an eight-year-old girl. She made her debut as a lead actor in Virunnukari by P. Venu followed, by Ponnkku Thanga Manasu (1973), a Tamil film and received an award in the "Best Actress" category. In 1974, ten years after her first movie, she made her debut as the heroine opposite Prem Nazir in Hariharan's College Girl. Vidhubala acted opposite many of the leading actors of her time, including Prem Nazir, Madhu, Vincent, Mohan, Jayan, Soman, and Kamal Haasan. She quit acting in 1981. Her last film was Abhinayam, directed by Baby.
Personal life
Vidhu is born to Indian independence activists K. Bhagyanath and Sulochana on 24 May 1954. Her father was also a famed magician. She took to acting only to oblige her relatives or friends of relatives. She is the sister of cinematographer Madhu Ambat. She is married to Murali Kumar, who was the producer of some of her films.They have a son Arjun.He is married to Ashitha Mohandas.
