Victor Pisapia

Victor is the founder of VictorsFood. His Italian background and European travels have influenced in his passion and knowledge of food.

Victor started teaching cooking classes in an area just outside Philadelphia as soon as he left university. He opened his first business, called the Back Porch Café, in 1976 in the town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware United States. After a year in the business, Victor went on to study at the New School for Social Research in New York City, where he studied Culinary Arts and Restaurant Business. With his training behind him, Victor opened a small empire of restaurants in his home state of Delaware in the USA and was later named in ‘Delaware Today magazine’ as one of the “50 most influential people in the last 50 years”.

In 1994, Victor moved to Australia and opened the award winning ‘Rattlesnake Grill’. Since then, Victor has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, written multiple articles, published many recipes in publications and websites such as SBS and 9 news. He has also given numerous interviews and presentations.

In 2002, Victor and Wanitha Tanasingam formed a team building company, called the Cheeky Food Group. The aim was to bring team cooking to the corporate market. Cheeky Food Group was written about in all the top business publications around Australia, and its brand is still very strong in the market today. However, Victor seized an opportunity to sell this business before the economic downturn.

Victor later went on to create VictorsFood in 2007, which now focuses on creating interactive food experiences and sustainable practices.
