Viktor Valeriyovych Halasiuk (Ukrainian: Віктор Валерійович Галасюк; born 28 August 1981) is a Ukrainian economist and politician, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine since 27 November 2014, Deputy Leader of the Radical Party of Ukraine on Economic Policy, President of the Ukrainian Association for the Club of Rome, Member of National Reform Council, and Honorable President of the Ukrainian Association for Innovation Development (UAID)

Personal life
Viktor Halasiuk (or Viktor Halasyuk) was born on 28 August 1981 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian SSR. In 1998, he entered the National Mining University of Ukraine. In 2002 he was awarded a bachelor's degree with honors in Accounting and Auditing, then in 2003 a master's degree with honors in Corporate Economics and a PhD in Economics in 2005. He is married.
Career
Before moving into a political career, Mr. Halasiuk has gone a long way from an accounting intern to CEO of one of the largest investment projects in Ukraine, BIONIC Hill Innovation Park, and President of the Ukrainian Association for Innovation Development (UAID).
In 1998, Halasiuk began working as an accounting intern and then controller at the COWPERWOOD audit firm in Dnipropetrovsk, while continuing his university education.
From 2001 to 2014, he was the Head of the Economic Consulting Department at INCON-CENTRE LLC (Dnipropetrovsk).
In 2007, Halasiuk became the Chairof the Investment Projects Appraisal Committee, and since 2011 – a Member of the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Society of Financial Analysts (USFA).
In 2008–09, he was a Member of the Management Board at the Dnipropetrovsk regional of the European Business Association (EBA).
Since 2011, he is a Member of the Public Council at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
In 2012, Halasiuk became the CEO of BIONIC Hill LLC – the holding company of BIONIC Hill Innovation Park – where he worked until September 2014.
In April 2014, he began serving as an Adviser to the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine and an Adviser to the Head of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine.
In August 2014, he became the President of the Ukrainian Association for Innovation Development (UAID), which unites leading international and national companies in the spheres of IT, hi-tech, machine building, microelectronics, energy efficiency, science, education, etc. UAID’s mission is to create conditions for high-tech business in Ukraine.
In 2014 he has also accepted the role of a Member of Advisory Board of BIONIC University and an economic adviser to the Leader of the Radical Party, Oleh Lyashko.
Appearing tenth on the party list of the Radical Party, Halasiuk was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in the 2014 Ukrainian parliamentary election.
In December 2014 he was elected Member of the Council of the Taxpayers Association of Ukraine.
Educational and scientific activity
Viktor Halasiuk lectured at the leading universities of Ukraine, including the University of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine. He is an author of two monographs and of a few dozens of scientific and other articles in leading Ukrainian and foreign media outlets.
Viktor advocates an active role of the government in the national policy and implementation of a targeted industrial and innovation policy.
