Spencer was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and was raised in Toronto, Ontario. She is the daughter of Marlene Frances (nee Dalton) and David Joseph Spencer, and has an older fraternal twin sister, Victoria. Her ancestry is English, Irish, and Scottish.
Career
