Career
Vanathi Srinivasan is a social activist and former member of Central Board of Film Certification before starting her political journey. She contested in 2011 & 2016 Tamil Nadu State Assembly election as BJP candidate.
Support for LGBT community
Along with few of her political party member including Arun Jaitley she openly supported the rights of gender and sexual minorities in India. Vanathi Srinivasan launched the first book on LGBTQIA and Genderqueer in Tamil penned by Gopi Shankar Madurai.
