Valašské Meziříčí ( [ˈvalaʃskɛː ˈmɛzɪr̝iːtʃiː]; German: Wallachisch Meseritsch), colloquially Valmez, is a town in the Zlín Region, the Czech Republic. The town has 27,960 inhabitants.

    The first mention of Valašské Meziříčí dates from the 13th century. The name comes from "mezi-říčí" (being between rivers); the centre is in the wedge of the confluencing Rožnovská Bečva and Vsetínská Bečva rivers. The adjective specifies that this town is located in Moravian Wallachia.
