Background

Due to advances in LED lighting, modern flashlights/torchlights/Lanterns have substantially less battery requirements, and the handle can now be used for other useful purposes. VSSL Outdoor Utility Tools were created to utilize that now obsolete space, while at the same time maintaining the practical form factor of the traditional torchlight.

In addition to VSSL Supplies, the Company has launched two other versions including VSSL Shelter and VSSL First Aid that are geared to the outdoors market. The company has also launched two branded versions of VSSL products; VSSL Zombie and VSSL Flask. VSSL Zombie is a tool designed to specifically kill zombies. VSSL Flask is a flashlight specifically designed to hold alcohol (spirits). In addition to a 10oz container for storage, it contains two collapsible stainless shot glasses. According to the company, the interior surface of the VSSL Flask is glass (Si02) which is developed using atomic-layer deposition.

Awards

In 2015 the Company was awarded a Canadian Trademark for the usage of VSSL and in 2016 a U.S. Trademark was issued. In April 2016, the Company won an Edison Award in the Sports and Outdoors category.
