History

In 1951, the volleyball was spun off from the Voorburgse Sports Association TONEGIDO. The club is also the successor to HML / CLV (Hague Montessori Lyceum and the Christian Lyceum Voorburg) who were trained by the famous volleyball pioneers Cees Jan van Swedes. In the 70s and 80s was the top time of the club, under the names, Gaggenau, Roswell and Star Lift. Championships won in 1975 under the name Gaggenau and in 1979, 1981 and 1982 under the name Star Lift Voorburg. In 1978, Star Lift Voorburg played at the final of the CEV European Champions Cup which they lost from the Polish Płomień Milowice. The third-tier European Cup, the CEV Cup was won in 1982 and thus was the first Dutch team to win a European title. In 1996, together with the VSV TONEGIDO Voorburgse associations (football) and VCC (cricket) decided to close cooperation.
