Early life
V B Binu was born at Thiruvarpu, Kottayam district, Kerala.
Binu entered into the political arena as an activist of All India Students Federation (A.I.S.F), and evolved as a leader through Govt. College Nattakam. Binu completed his bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from Government Law College, Ernakulam.
Political life
Binu started his political career through the All India Students Federation (A.I.S.F), which he served as district secretary, district president and state vice-president. He is currently a CPI state executive member, and also serving different position like CMD Janayugam, AITUC state secretary as well as one among national secretaries of A.I.P.S.O.
He was the chairman of Oil Palm India during the last LDF government. In his chairmanship, OIL Palm India made a good progress, and could able to start a new office at Kottayam and also started a Palm Kernel. In his tenure Oil Palm India could able to contribute a huge amount of profit share to state government as well as national government.
