Vânia Cristina Martins (born November 9, 1980 in Embu das Artes, São Paulo), known simply as Vânia, is a Brazilian-born naturalized Equatoguinean football midfielder; who plays for Santa Teresa in Spain.

Career

Vânia played for several Brazilian teams, of which highlights Portuguesa, São Paulo and Corinthians.

International career

She represented Brazil at senior level in the 2010 International Tournament City of São Paulo, playing a match against Netherlands. FIFA recognizes this competition, so whereby each national team that's involved will have their matches registered in the FIFA calendar. However, the tournament is not official and then Vânia has been able to be naturalized by Equatorial Guinea, an African country that has a bad habit of calling more naturalized players (mainly Afro-Brazilian, as her) that native / descendants. Vânia attended the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup and was champion of the 2012 African Women's Championship.
