Uttaranchal University is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand near the IMA and is spread over an area of more than 50 acres. The institute was established in 2002. It has a serene and lush Green Campus Located on NH-72.
The university is constituted with the merger of three educational institutions, namely Law College Dehradun (LCD), Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) and Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM). The University is promoted by Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies and Research, a society registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. It offers courses at Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral levels in the multidisciplinary fields of Law, Management, Business Studies, Computers, Engineering and Information Technology.

Facilities
The University has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostel is having single rooms, double rooms, three bed and four bed rooms with 24x7 electricity, Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi. Hostel common rooms are fully equipped with HD TV network, Indoor games, news papers and laundry staff.
The University has a Central library and Departmental libraries to provide Anytime, Anywhere Access to the students. Transport facility for day scholar and faculty. Medical facility is available with leading hospitals with 24x7 availability of ambulance. Banking facility is available in the campus. The library holds books, journals, databases, audio-visuals, CDs/DVDs, e-books, e-journals, reports, case studies, conference proceedings, training manuals, etc. on Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Management and Legal studies etc.
