Usnea scabrata (straw beard lichen) is a very pale grayish-yellowish green, slender, pendant, branching from the base, unequally branching, shrubby foliose lichen that grows from holdfasts on trees. It is warty with abundant isidia. It resembles Usnea filipendula.
