The Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) is a membership association, founded in 2004, representing professionals that work in urgent care centers located throughout the United States and across the world including Australia, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, and New Zealand.

Urgent Care Fellowship Training
UCAOA offers four fellowships in urgent care: University Hospitals Case Medical Center Department of Family Medicine; University of Nevada School of Medicine/Department of Family and Community Medicine; Staten Island Physician Practice (SIPP) and JFK Family Medicine Residency Program; and University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford/Swedish American Hospital.
The Journal of Urgent Care Medicine
UCAOA publishes the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine (JUCM). The Journal is published in conjunction with Braveheart Publishing. It has regular columns on medical coding, legal aspects of urgent care, occupational medicine. It also contains UCAOA updates and reviews of the literature related to urgent care medicine.
Certified Urgent Care Designation
In 2009, the Urgent Care Association of America established national criteria for urgent care centers with their Certified Urgent Care designation. The program sets standards for hours of operation, staffing, and services patients can expect to be available. The CUC designation helps patients, payers and other interested parties identify true full-service urgent care centers.
