The Universidad Tecnológica de México (UNITEC) (Mexico University of Technology) is a private university with several campuses scattered throughout Mexico. It has more than 28 undergraduate programs, and more than 40 postgraduate programs.

Contents

History

The university was founded in 1966 by a group of Mexican business men who had envisioned the creation of an institute that had its main focus on teaching the sciences to its students without compromising their knowledge of the human sciences.

In 2004 it opened two new campuses: one in Monterrey, Nuevo León and another in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

It was bought by Laureate Education, Inc., a Baltimore-based American education company, in 2008. The campuses in Guadalajara and Monterrey became UVM campuses.
