Ultraframe (UK) Ltd is a Clitheroe, Lancashire, based roofing solutions manufacturer. Ultraframe also use independent third party accreditation and testing agencies such as Wintech and the British Board of Agrément to add further credibility to their data. Ultraframe conservatory roofing system carries a 25-year BBA (British Board of Agrement) life expectancy certificate and was the first in the industry to hold this accreditation.

History
Established in 1983, by entrepreneur John Lancaster MBE, Ultraframe was the first conservatory company to develop a specific conservatory roofing system; “fit for purpose” solution with no onsite manufacture and was quickly acknowledged as the market leader in conservatory roof design & manufacture. In 1996 Ultraframe was the first roofing system to obtain the British Board of Agrément approval for their products and in 1998 at its peak Ultraframe was floated on the London Stock Exchange.
The early 2000’s saw Ultraframe’s innovative products challenged by others coming into the market. Ultraframe was involved in a number of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) cases where they were forced to defend their patents, trademarks and copy rights. 2005 saw a change in the UK board and in July 2006 Ultraframe was acquired by Latium Plastic Holdings, including the Wendland Roofing system.
In 2007 the Ultraframe factory was recognised as UK’s Best Engineering Plant by the Cranfield Institute and in 2009 the company won a Shingo Bronze Medallion for operational excellence. In 2010 Ultraframe won the Manufacturer of the Year Award for Financial Management.

Based in Clitheroe, Lancashire, Ultraframe have been manufacturing conservatory roofs for over 30 years and employ around 400 people at their Clitheroe Head Office.
