Uchigō Station has two opposed side platforms connected to the station building by an overhead passageway. The station has a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office.

History

Uchigō Station opened as Tsuzura Station (綴駅) on 25 February 1897. It was renamed Uchigō Station on 20 December 1956. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987. A new station building was completed in November 2014.
