Parnassus

The 600-bed Parnassus center serves as the main campus and houses the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute, the 180-bed UCSF Children's Hospital, extensive research labs, and the main Dental and Nursing buildings.

In June 2013, Becker's Hospital Review listed the UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus as the 9th highest grossing hospital in America with a gross revenue of $6.88 billion.

Mount Zion

Mount Zion Hospital was planned in 1887 by members of the Jewish community in San Francisco. It opened its doors in 1897 and gradually became a major center of medical research. It merged with UCSF in 1990. The Mount Zion hospital now has the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Women's Health Center. Mount Zion includes a Surgery Center with 10 operating rooms and 90 beds.

The UCSF Medical Center is considered one of the top hospitals in the nation, and ranks in the top ten in the US News 2005 survey. The Medical Center conducts research in almost every field of medicine and supports top-notch programs in many specialties including AIDS, cancer, and pediatric research.
