UCP Wheels for Humanity is a non-profit corporation in North Hollywood, California that delivers mobility solutions to people with disabilities in developing countries. Founded in 1996, UCP Wheels for Humanity is a subsidiary of UCP of Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, UCP Wheels makes strategic investments in communities that leverage existing capacities and empower local stakeholders.

Work

Over its history, UCP Wheels for Humanity has served over 313,000 people with disabilities (and their families and communities) in over 70 countries. In addition to a workshop in North Hollywood, California, UCP Wheels for Humanity operates a factory in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on the campus of Gadjah Mada University

Project Clasp

UCP Wheels for Humanity (UCP Wheels) has received a $2.2 million grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and JSI Research & Training Institute to support Project CLASP, a project which will improve and streamline the supply-chain for wheelchairs worldwide and supply over 15,000 wheelchairs to those in need around the world.
