U.P. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Ansundhan Sansthan or Veterinary College, Mathura is the fourth veterinary science university in India. It is located in the city of Mathura, the holy birthplace of Lord Krishna.

The college was established in 1947 by the government of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. In year 1975, Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur was established. U.P. College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry at Mathura and U.P. College of Agriculture at Kanpur became its two main faculties. In 2001 U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go Anusandhan Sansthan (U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay University of Veterinary Science and Cattle Research Institute, abbreviation DUVASU) was established in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India and erstwhile U.P. College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry at Mathura became its main constituent college. The university campus is spread over more than 2100 acres land. In Veterinary Science faculty, graduate teaching leading to award of BVSc & AH degree in Veterinary Science subjects is done in all subjects as per MSVE recommended by Veterinary Council of India.
Curriculum
The College offers B. V. Sc and A.H., M. V. Sc. and PhD programs in veterinary science and a B. Sc. program in fisheries science. The college offers other programs, such as biotechnology, microbiology, surgery, gynecology, pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry, health, clinical medicine and toxicology.
Facilities
The parasitology, pathology and osteology departments have large specimen collections. Many subspecies of salmonella such as S. goverdhan, S. mathurae and Mycoplasma sps have been researched there.
The college Veterinary Clinic was constructed from the funds donated by Shri Narsingh Das Kothari of Bikaner, and was named Kothari Veterinary Hospital. It was inaugurated on 7 Nov 1949 by Shri Govind Ballabh Pant, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (the then United Province). The Veterinary clinical services in the hospital are run by collaborative efforts of department of Veterinary Surgery, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Reproduction and Obstetrics. In year 2007 the Kothari Veterinary Hospital was upgraded and converted as Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC) utilizing financial assistance from Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). At present, it is a multi specialty university veterinary clinics engaged in diagnosis and treatment of clinical conditions of cattle, Buffalo, horse, dogs, cats and all other animals falling within jurisdiction of a veterinarian, apart from imparting instructional graduate and post graduate level clinical teaching to students of Veterinary College. The TVCC has separate large and small animal out patient section, surgery section equipped for general, orthopedic, ophthalmic, laparoscopy surgery, sterile supply section, obstetrics section, diagnostic imaging section and a diagnostic laboratory. This hospital is equipped with some of the state of art facilities including 500 mA Siemens X ray machine, , 2D diagostic ultrasound, large and small animal 4D ultrasound color Doppler units, phaco emulsifiers, operating microscope, 9" C arm image intensifier, inhalation anesthesia machines with different vaporizers, multiparameter patient monitors, oxygenators etc.
