Tyrol Basin is a ski and snowboard area located in the Town of Vermont, Dane County, near Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. It has both an equal mix of beginner and intermediate runs as well as a mix of advanced and expert runs. Tyrol Basin has 16 runs of average size for Midwest hills. The ski area attracts many skiers and snowboarders from nearby Madison, Wisconsin.

At the base of the hill near the first chairlift, Tyrol has a small gift shop, rental building, and food lodge.
SkiingEdit
Tyrol Basin has beginner green runs through a double black diamond, expert run.
The hill offers a ski school for both private and group lessons.
Tyrol also has NASTAR racing almost every weekend.
SnowboardingEdit
Tyrol Basin has 3 terrain parks including a gentle park with smaller features that attracts beginner riders.
They host the United States Ski and Snowboard Association which holds several skiing and snowboarding competitions on weekends.

Rich in snowboard history, Tyrol Basin was one of the first resorts in the World to have a pipe and a park. Tyrol’s roots in snowboarding run deep and their dedication really shows. It was voted by transworld the number 1 park in the Midwest.
