Greyhounds coach Craig Hartsburg speaks highly of the 20-year-old from Omemee, Ontario. Cuthbert's no-nonsense skill won recognition in a coaches' poll, ranking as the third best defensive defenceman in the OHL's Western Conference in the 2006-07 season. He also has been successful off the ice, winning the Scholastic Award in 2007 for the Greyhounds, and earning a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry at Saint Mary's University while playing for the Huskies.
