Tvinci was founded in 2007 by Co-Founders Ofer Shayo and Ido Wiesenberg and has built a platform that enables cable and other pay TV operators to put out over-the-top video services for their subscribers. Tvinci now has 70 employees, with offices in London and Tel Aviv. Tvinci customers include Eutelsat KabelKiosk, Elisa, MediaCorp, MTV and Chellomedia.

Products
Tvinci's framework for OTT TV is composed of: 1. The Tvinci MediaHub - to manage content, users, devices, business rules, DRM 2 The Tvinci MediaStore - to manage households, cross device personal zone, companion mode, notifications 3. Front end templates for a fast deployment.
Expansion
In October 2012 Tvinci announced a $4.5 million round of funding that will be used to push into new international markets and to continue development. The round was led by existing investors Kaedan Capital and Zohar Gilon along with new investor Trellas Enterprises.
Partners
The Tvinci platform is used by international brands, including a wholesale model with Eutelsat KabelKiosk, and partners include vendors such as Widevine, PlayReady, Marlin, Accedo, Elemental, Deluxe, Avial-TVN, Harmonic, Abox and Netgem.
Reception and awards
In 2007, TechCrunch declared that "Tvinci makes MTV Israel rock so much harder than MTV.com"
In 2012, industry commentator Nicolas Weil undertook a thorough comparison of Pay OTT TV platform providers for the "How To Build A Netflix Like Multiscreen OTT Service" and subsequently wrote that: "...Tvinci is definitely a must-have actor in any RFP you shall organize – and my personal number one choice if I was to launch a new service now."
In September 2011, Tvinci was awarded the title of Best Web TV Technology at the CSI Awards during IBC in Amsterdam. In September 2013, Tvinci's deployment for MediaCorp won the Best TV Everywhere/Multiscreen Video at the CSI Awards during IBC.
