Turkowice [turkɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Werbkowice, within Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Werbkowice, 20 km (12 mi) south-west of Hrubieszów, and 104 km (65 mi) south-east of the regional capital Lublin.

World War II
In March 1944, Turkowice was one of hundreds of locales attacked by Polish partisans in acts of ethnic cleansing against the ethnic Ukrainian population. 80 villagers were brutally murdered and 150 houses destroyed.
