The Tunghsiao Power Plant or Tongxiao Power Plant (Chinese: 通霄發電廠; pinyin: Tōngxiāo Fādiànchǎng) is a gas-fired power plant in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan. With the installed capacity of 1,815 MW, the plant is Taiwan's second largest gas-fired power plant after Tatan Power Plant.

Future expansion

The existing low-efficiency units of the power plant will be replaced by four 720 MW combined cycle units scheduled for operation in July 2016, January 2017, July 2017 and January 2018 respectively.

Tunghsiao Power Plant is accessible within walking distance West from TRA Tongsiao Station.
