The brand TruckStore is part of the Daimler AG portfolio and in particular its business unit Daimler Trucks. Since 2001, Daimler offers used trucks of all brands, age categories and body types as an independent used vehicle dealer under this brand. Furthermore, TruckStore offers individual services such as financing, leasing, rental, warranty- and service contracts as well as buyback.

History
In 1999 DaimlerChrysler had to face the problem that, through leasing, rental and the European depreciation laws, the average duration of newly purchased trucks was only two to three years. After this time, trucks were returned to the dealer and new ones were ordered. The company decided to work against the resulting and constantly growing glut of used trucks with similar criteria with a realignment of the used vehicle business Mercedes-Benz trucks.
The challenge was to consequently develop and promote the own buying and selling activities focusing on end-customers (retail) and vehicles of all brands. Nonetheless, it was also important to never lose the quality requirements of Mercedes-Benz out of focus. This has been realised through the independent approach TruckStore for the sale of trucks and services, which was fathered by DaimlerChrysler in 2001 and first presented to the international audience at the IAA Commercial vehicles 2002 in Hanover.
Categories
TruckStore was one of the first used truck dealers to introduce a clearly defined 3-level-categorisation of vehicles. According to international standards, the trucks are categorised into Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Warranty
Since 2008, TruckStore offers the Europe-wide and cross-brand TruckStore Warranty. It covers trucks of all brands and models of the categories Gold and Silver up to an age of 6 years. With duration of 12 months, the warranty covers the entire powertrain with respect to workshop costs in case of damage – without any excess payable for the customers. No matter where the customer is on its way, the warranty applies EU-wide without mileage limit.
Network
In May 2001, the first TruckStore center opened in Pinto, Madrid. Today (August 2013) there are 29 TruckStore in 14 countries all over Europe. The latest center opened in La Coruña, Spain. The first TruckStore center outside Europe opened in summer 2012 in South Africa.
