Choo Shin-soo, who started as the second designated hitter, opened the game with a hit to center field in the first inning, hit a double to right field in the third inning, and also hit an RBI with a sacrifice fly to center field in the fourth inning.

SSG named Choo Shin-soo the MVP of the fielders.

"It is burdensome to be selected as an MVP," Choo said through his team. "Through today's game, I felt that everything we prepared during the spring camp was going well. Starting with the rookie players who came to the game for the first time, all the team members played well. I hope everyone finishes their schedules well without any injuries during the remaining 2nd camp."

At the recommendation of Futures (2nd team) coach Son Si-heon, Choi Hyun-seok, who moved from the second team camp to the first team camp and started the day, stopped two innings with two hits and no runs and was selected as the pitcher MVP.

"I was very nervous before I took the mound today. When I saw him on a bus in the morning, I realized (that he joined the professional league camp and took the mound). I stayed calm for an hour and a half while traveling," Choi said. "My goal today was to pitch aggressively. Early in the game, I had a bad feeling of breaking balls, so I played a game with my fastball, and I think I was able to pull out my bat. Now that I'm in the professional league camp, I want to join the professional league (in the regular season)."

"The players performed better than expected. I got the impression that Futures players prepared well," SSG coach Lee Sung-yong said. "I hope that cooperation and communication systems with the 2nd tier teams will be established and maintained as they are now. We made a good start, so I hope we can continue to maintain the good atmosphere until the end."
