Kim So-i (Huons), a 10-year veteran of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, won the Most Impressive Golfer of August (MIG) by Sports W, a women's sports media outlet.

Kim So-i recently won the MIG of August in Aminorisen at the shooting of Sports W's "Revealing My Golf Bag" held at the Show Golf Gayang store in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

Organized by Sports W and sponsored by sports nutrition startup E4A Nutrition, "Aminor Regen MIG of the Month" was established last year to raise golf fans' interest in various players active in the KLPGA Tour.

Each month, one of the players who has made distinct improvements in skills and performances, or who has made a special record that can be recorded in the history of the tour, will be selected and awarded. However, winners of each competition are excluded from the award.

Kim So-i had her best month of this season, ranking top 10 in two of the four competitions she participated in in August (joint 9th at the Jeju Samdasoo Masters and joint 6th at the High1 Resort Women's Open).

Kim So-i, who failed to keep the regular tour seed in 68th place in the prize money ranking by entering the top 10 only once in 29 tournaments last year, managed to stay on the KLPGA Tour in November of the same year, ranking 21st in the 2023 season KLPGA regular tour seed ranking. 토토

As Kim So-i passed the seed ranking match and became active in the KLPGA Tour in the 2023 season, he confirmed his membership in the "K-10 Club," which is given to players who have played in the KLPGA Tour for 10 years. Kim So-i has kept the KLPGA Tour stage for 10 years since 2014 when she was a rookie season until this year.

Considering the fierce competition to enter the first part of the tour every year, it is not difficult to keep it in place for 10 years.

Kim So-yi, who overcame the difficult process of playing the seed ranking match and entered the 2023 season, continued to be sluggish, failing to pass the cut six times in the first half of this season, but succeeded in reversing the mood as she entered the second half.

Kim So-i tied for ninth at the Jeju Samdasoo Masters in August, her first competition in the second half, recording her first top 10 of the season. It was the top 10 in about 11 months since the 'KG·Edaily Ladies Open' (6th place) in September last year.

And Kim So-i, who participated in the "High One Resort Women's Open" held two weeks later, renewed her season's best performance by finishing the tournament tied for sixth. He also tied for 13th in the major competition "Hanwha Classic," which was held in August.

Kim So-i, who won the MIG of August in Aminorisen when she was selected as the most impressive player in the KLPGA Tour in August, said, "I saw other players selected as MIGs a lot in articles, but I really didn't expect to be selected as MIGs in August. I am so happy and grateful for this meaningful award," he said.

Regarding the secret to playing well in August, he said, "In the first half of this year, I played technically and stably, but I was a little frustrated because I didn't get a driving score. However, I shot 7 under in the third round of the Ever Collagen-Dusiena Queens Crown, the last tournament in the first half of the year, and I gained a lot of confidence at that time, and I think I started off well in the second half as it became a turning point."

Kim So-i, who was selected as the fourth "Amino Regen MIG of the Month" winner in the 2023 season, will be awarded 1 million won in prize money and the amino acid sports supplement "Amino Regen" as an injury.
