Inhabited in prehistoric times and the Gallo-Roman period.A glassworks of 1699 was the origin of the town.Village completely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War.An important new glassworks founded in 1707.The church dates only from the early 20th century. Previously, Troisfontaines along with Hartzviller were part of the parish of Biberkirch where the church stood.1999, Troisfontaines is hit by a storm.
