Troisfontaines (German Dreibrunnen) is a French commune located in the department of Moselle.

History

  • Inhabited in prehistoric times and the Gallo-Roman period.
  • A glassworks of 1699 was the origin of the town.
  • Village completely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War.
  • An important new glassworks founded in 1707.
  • The church dates only from the early 20th century. Previously, Troisfontaines along with Hartzviller were part of the parish of Biberkirch where the church stood.
  • 1999, Troisfontaines is hit by a storm. It destroyed a large part of the forests, especially the on the edge of Vallérysthal.
  • 2007, 80% of Troisfontaines is covered by DTT.
  • The village

    The village has three fountains as its name implies: a monument is dedicated on the site of the Hoffe (founded in 2005-2006).
