History

Trinity Academy was founded in September 1996 by a board of directors. Trinity (originally known as Regent School) had its first day of school on August 24, 1998. It was first located at the Asbury United Methodist Church and Calvary Presbyterian Church. In 2002, the school moved to Providence Baptist Church, and again in 2006 to the site where its permanent facilities are located.

Athletics

Middle school teams for boys and girls at Trinity include: swimming, basketball, soccer, and tennis. Middle school girls also have volleyball. High school boys teams at Trinity include: swimming, basketball, golf, soccer, and tennis. For the high school girls they offer swimming, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, soccer, and tennis.

Students in middle and high school are required to participate in at least one sport for a physical education grade. At the end of each season there is a sport banquet where awards are given to the athletes.

The high school teams are in the Carolina Christian Conference (CCC), and the middle school teams are in the Capital Area Middle School Conference (CAMSC).
