Publication history
The tressym first appeared in second edition for the Forgotten Realms setting in the adventure module Haunted Halls of Eveningstar (1992). The tressym also appeared in the revised Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (1993), and reprinted in Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume One (1994) under the "cat, winged" entry.
The tressym appeared for third edition for the Forgotten Realms setting in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (2001), and Lost Empires of Faerûn (2005).
Description
Tressym are winged cats, about the size of a housecat, with a pair of feathered, leathery wings extending to a 3-foot wingspan. They have owl-like faces, and a fluffy ball of fur and feathers at the end of their tail.
Tressyms are highly intelligent and sometimes kept as pets and familiars by good wizards. In the wild, they can be found in warm and temperate land.
Tressyms are chaotic good in alignment.
