Tres Coronas was a rap group, established in early 2001 in Queens, New York. The group was composed of Colombian rapper P.N.O., French rapper Rocca and Dominican rapper Reychesta, who was the founder of the group. The music recorded by the group addresses issues of everyday life.

Career
Through the New York producer Spank, Reychesta connected with P.N.O. with the plan of starting a rap group. P.N.O. then introduced Reychesta to Rocca.
The group began with the goal to enhance Hip-Hop music in Spanish speaking countries, covering territories in Colombia, Costa Rica, the United States, Venezuela, and Spain.
In 2001 Reychesta (aka Secret Weapon), along with rappers Rocca (aka Chief) and P.N.O. (aka Guajiro), founded the band Tres Coronas, recording several albums over the coming years. Mixtape was released in 2001, New York Mixtape in 2003, and the third album Nuestra Cosa in 2005, which included 15 tracks. In 2006 Nuestra Cosa: Deluxe Edition (CD/DVD), the first studio album, was released with 17 tracks in total, plus a DVD with five videos and a documentary about the group.
Shortly after the release of the 2006 album, the founder of Tres Coronas, Reychesta, left the group, his main reason being that Machete Music had paid $100,000 to the group's new album, but Reychesta had not been given his share of profits. Another reason was that the album used two songs the Reychesta's previous first solo album: "Otro Día", which included a song Reychesta sang in collaboration with Negro Jetro, and "Vamos a Jugar" which Reychesta collaborated with Kafu Banton on. The final reason was that Rocca and P.N.O. wanted Reychesta to only be signed to Parcero. Along with his solo album and the money Reychesta would make after leaving the group, Reychesta continues his singing career as a soloist.
Tres Coronas' genre was known as Spanish Rap, a little-known subgenre of rap music. No other Spanish Rap group has managed to recreate the success of Tres Coronas.

In 2001, Tres Coronas created its own record label called "Parcero Production", releasing several albums for sale: "Mixtape" (2001), "New York Mixtape" (2003), "Nuestra Cosa" (2005), and "Nuestra Cosa: Deluxe Edition (CD/DVD)" (2006), which was released by the label Machete Music.
The group's music were released under various artist names and labels in different countries. The music was released as Tres Coronas in Colombia, as the group La Etnnia with the label 5-27 Records in France, Belgium, Switzerland, with the label 2Good in Spain, and with the label 3X2 Distribution in the United States.
