Youth and college
Travis Worra led Hempfield High School to the PIAA Class AAA State title in 2010. As a senior, Worra compiled a school-record 157 saves on his way to 19 shutouts and a .357 goals against average. His stellar performance didn't go without merit, as Worra was named the Lancaster-Lebanon League Goalkeeper of the Year for the second straight year. He had similar success in the classroom, earning honor roll status all four years, while also earning the Senior Soccer Scholar Award for having the highest GPA on the team as a senior. Worra recently played club soccer in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy for PA Classics and will join former PA Classics alumni Jordan Thomas (Mohnton, Pa.), Ryan McNabb (Downingtown, Pa.), Alex Russell (Harrisburg, Pa.) and Jeffrey Turner (Blandon, Pa.) at UNH. Prior to his time in the Development Academy, Worra was also a three-time EPA Olympic Development Program player.
In 2011... Played in 17 games including 16 starts... had a total of 61 saves with a .753 save percentage for the season... ranked third in the conference in both goals against average (1.13) and saves (61)... Ranked fourth in the conference in shutouts (5)... ranked fifth in the conference in save percentage (.753)... recorded a career high 9 saves against Vermont (Oct 22)... allowed no more than one goal in four of the final five games of the season... earned a shutout against Dartmouth (Nov 1).
That next year on 2012 Appeared in 17 games including 15 starts... had a goals-against average of 0.81 with a save percentage of .821. In 2013, America East Goalkeeper of the Year... started and played in 12 games... allowed just seven goals with 53 total saves... registered a 0.55 goals against average... recorded six shutouts, including performances against Colgate (9/8), Rhode Island (9/18), Grand Canyon (9/21), UMass Lowell (10/5), Hartford (10/16), and Vermont (11/6).
Senior career
Worra began his senior career as a backup goalie for the Seacoast United Phantoms. Garnering only four starts in his two seasons, Worra left the Phantoms to join the U-23 team of the Carolina RailHawks FC during the 2014 campaign. Worra made all 10 starts for the U-23 squad.
Although Worra was not drafted in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, he went on trial with D.C. United. On February 25, 2015, he was signed as a free agent as the third string goalkeeper. Immediately after, he was sent on loan to Richmond Kickers, where he made his professional debut on April 4, 2014 in a 1–1 draw against Louisville City FC.
