History
Transatlantic Law International was founded in 2001
Erik D. Lazar is founder and director of the firm. He specializes in global mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, restructuring, commercial agreements, international transactions, management of cross-border projects, and global labor and employment law.
Mr. Lazar started his legal career in private practice in Boston. He moved to Europe in 1991 and served as chief counsel for International Paper Europe in Brussels and then occupied the post of general counsel EMEA for Tyco International in Luxembourg. In these positions, he was responsible for all legal aspects of these businesses’ EMEA operations.
Since its founding, Transatlantic Law International has grown to encompass more than 4,500 lawyers working in affiliated independent firms located in more than 95 countries.
