Life and career

Trak D was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and attended Alexander Hamilton High School for the Performing Arts.

In 2006 Trak D, alongside his friends Aaron Brown and Evan Brown, formed an entertainment company called ‘SupaCali’, which hosted variety shows featuring local up and coming talent. Some of the notable performers from these shows include Brandon T. Jackson, Nipsey Hussle and TDE's own Jay Rock. This is where Trak D met his first business partner Darnell Whitman and together they formed the production company HeatPharm Productions. They managed, recorded and produced for four artists, one of which was a rapper named Mucho Deniro. Trak and Deniro formed a friendship and with the assistance of other friends Taylor Parsons, Azzam Stallsworth and Brian Greene, they created the entertainment company Organized Grind Entertainment (OGE). OGE became well known on the Los Angeles music scene from its artists performing in Hollywood clubs and releasing several mixtape projects including Radio Food, Beats, Blunts and Bitches, OGE Life Volume 1 and OGE Life Volume 2. From the success of OGE, Trak D started to get more attention from the music community and went on to produce and engineer many records.

Trak D then became a prominent producer and engineer for many other R&B and hip-hop artists. As a producer, he has released a pair of instrumental mixtapes with fellow business partner and producer DT; Slap House V.1 and Slap House V.2.

Trak D has also made appearances and has had music placements on several television shows including the Reelz Original Series Hollywood Hillbillies and VH1's hit show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. He is a reappearing guest star featured alongside recording artist Ray J on Hollywood Hillbillies, making appearances in seasons 1, 2 and 3. The first episode Trak appears on, titled ‘Dee Dee's Diet’, features him producing the record “Gingerbread" for Michael Kittrell, one of the show's main cast members. The video was featured on TMZ.com on June 11, 2014. In addition, he has production credits on the YouTube channel Black & Sexy TV’s original full-length film That Guy. The song "Skate On Em" is featured on the film's soundtrack, subsequently released on December 29, 2014.
