Personal life and education
Silna Zur holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Fordham University. She is pursuing a Master's in Public Policy from Rutgers University. Silna Zur has three children with her husband, Bobby. She is a resident of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
Career
In addition to working in private practice, Silna Zur has served as a judge, prosecutor, and public defender. Silna Zur has also worked as legal counsel for Congressman Bill Pascrell, and served on the Bergen County Utilities Authority.
Silna Zur was elected to the Bergen County Board of Freeholders in 2012. Her election, along with that of Steven Tanelli, helped Democrats take control of the Board of Freeholders.
Silna Zur is considered a potential future Congressional candidate.
