Early life
Lan Khue was born and raised in a Confucianism family which has a traditional academic background. Her parents are both professors in Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University. Her grandfather, The late Professor Tran Thanh Dam, was the first principle of Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.
Lan Khue grew up and proved to be a brilliant student with outstanding school record. After graduating from high school, Lan Khue got accepted into Department of Germanic Languages & Literature of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities. However, she always had a desire to pursue a career as a professional model. She had to put much effort to get the permission from her family to follow her dream due to their strict academic family background. Her mother only gave her a year to challenge for modeling to see if she had the ability to follow the modeling path. and after one year, her effort was paid off with the winner award of Vietnam supermodel contest 2013 and she has gained the support from her family since then...
2011
Lan Khue first public appearance and established herself by participating the Vietnam Supermodel contest in 2011. Unfortunately, she was disqualified and couldn’t engage in others official cycle.
2012
Came back in Vietnam Supermodel 2012 and won the title of the most Promising Supermodel.
Represented Vietnam to appear in Asian Supermodel contest and placed second runner-up.
2013
Participated in Vietnam Supermodel 2013 and became an eventual winner - Gold Award.
Represented Vietnam in New Silk Road Model Look contest and placed first runner-up.
The first Vietnamese supermodel who is declared as top 5 of the award known as Oscar of fashion industry in Asia.
2014
Participated in Miss Ao Dai 2014. Lan Khue competed and won the title of Ao Dai Beauty Queen in the very first season.
2015
Lan Khue later represented Vietnam in Miss World 2015 - the oldest surviving major international beauty pageant.
After a month, Lan Khue was excellent placed among the top 11 finalists at Miss World pageant. It knows as the best achievement of Vietnam in this international beauty pageant. And appointed as People’s Choice Award by audiences’ votes.
According to Global Beauties website, Tran Ngoc Lan Khue is the first and only representative of Vietnam in the top 50 most beautiful women in the world (2016).
Lan Khuê walked the runways for “ Thoi trang va cuoc song” and "Duyen Dang Viet Nam" fashion show, international cultural exchange programs in Korea, The U.S.A, Canada, Germany, etc. She also the first face of Vietnam Fashion Week 2015 and 2016 for many collections as well as being a vedette to present many collections of Vietnam top designers like Nguyen Cong Tri, Do Manh Cuong, Ao Dai ABC, Lam Gia Khang, Tung Vu, Quang Nhat, etc.

Lan Khuê starred her first role in ‘Son dep trai’ movie as Trang Nhi singer, partner of Bang Kieu singer.
