Contents

Toshl is predominately a mobile phone client software, supporting iPhone, Android, Blackberry 10 and Windows Phone platforms. The service can also be accessed on tablets through the Toshl Web App at toshl.com.

Data storage and access

Toshl saves and stores all user expense tracking data locally, on their mobile clients, and with user registration and finished authentication process it automatically or manually syncs them with cloud service via Toshl.com.

Sync process requires internet access and is done using encryption, certified by GeoTrust QuickSSL.

Toshl mobile clients can be used as "stand-alone" software without the cloud service registration. Users with no Toshl mobile clients can not use Toshl service via web. No special mobile view of Toshl.com is provided.

"Free" and "Pro" usage

Toshl comes in both free and paid (Pro) versions. Toshl Free allows for 2 financial accounts and 2 budgets, while Toshl Pro allows for unlimited accounts and budgets.

Toshl Pro allows for up to 4 receipt photos per expense, automatically repeating transactions, bill reminders, the export of data to several different formats (PDF, Excel, Google Drive and Evernote), and the locking of mobile apps via passcode or fingerprint. The Pro version can be purchased on a monthly subscription as well as paid yearly or every 3 years at a significant discount.
