History
On April 12, 2012, Toshiba TEC acquired IBM’s Retail Store Solutions (RSS) business, which offered retail point-of-sale solutions worldwide. The acquisition was completed in August 2012 and formed Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. Toshiba Global Commerce Solution continued to operate IBM Retail Store Solutions’ business worldwide as Toshiba TEC’s core retail point-of-sale solution affiliates.
