Anthony "Tony" Sakkis (born August 7, 1960) is an American motorsports writer.

Biography

He began writing for Bob Hagin and Pacheco Automotive News Service in Concord, California, which eventually expanded to 110 newspapers across the United States. His first solo column was in 1986 with Vallejo Times-Herald in Northern California. He spent five years with the San Francisco Examiner, five years with the San Francisco Chronicle and three years with the Oakland Tribune Group. Sakkis works as the motor sport columnist for the Galveston County Daily News. He has written for publications including AutoWeek and Cycle News and has published more than 10 books.

Personal life

Sakkis received his bachelor's degree in history from the University of California at Berkeley. He resides in south Texas with his wife and two children.
