Tony Jimenez (born December 1962 in Brixton, London, England) is an international businessman known for his involvement in European football.

Jimenez is of Spanish nationality and has been a long time resident of Cyprus although he returned to reside in Dubai from where he controls a series of property developments. He has served as the vice-president in charge of player recruitment for Newcastle United and the co-owner of Charlton Athletic. Often described as low key ,discreet, and self effacing, he has also been referred to by his detractors as having an almost obssesive streak when it comes to the safety of his family.A former adversory of Jimenez describes him as having a memory like a hard drive.
He is currently being pursued with legal action by the pugnacious and some say 'abrasive,' owner of Sports Direct and Newcastle United, Mike Ashley.
Jimenez, a former patron of The Variety Club amongst other charities, emphatically denies Ashley's accusations and is thought to be preparing a multi million pound counter action against Ashley for malicious accusations , breach of the Data Protection Act 1998 ( both criminal offences) and on a Civil level, defamation resulting in a considerably high quantum of reputational damages. He refuses to reveal as of writing, the 'bombshell' he intends to make public regarding his past business associate and opaquely, his 'proclivities'.
Jimenez is thought to have broad media backing in part because of the negative position Ashley has in the past adopted against British newspapers , in banning the Sun on Sunday and both the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday from reporting on, and attending, Newcastle United matches, and also relating to Ashley's alleged contempt for a team of MP's who visited a principal factory of his that one later described as having Victorian working and pay conditions. This before an MP publicly revealed that the boardroom they had retired to during a fact finding mission for lunch, was the target of a somewhat unprofessional attempt to place a listening device under a chair which then fell on the floor in full view of the attending 6 MP's.Mr Ashley claimed it had been there from before their visit. The MP stated :" It was more Austin Powers than 007!"
It is now rumoured that Jimenez has spent weeks putting together and vetting a top flight group of international specialists in media and legal affairs,reputational attorneys, as well as an elite corp of ex law enforcement criminal investigators tasked with delving into the probity of Ashley's affairs, launching a counter claim against his 'spurious' ( in his words) legal attacks, and clear his own name 'once and for all' from the ' mendacious obsessive and worryingly bizarre person that is Mike Ashley'
