Personal life
Tomás Pierucci, better known as Tomi Pierucci, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to a family of entrepreneurs. He is married to Nesle Baghdasarian and together have a son, Lucio Argentino Pierucci.
He studied Marketing at Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales and continued his studies at IAE Business School and IESE Business School. He started his first company while still in high-school during the middle of Argentina's worst economic crisis.
Career
Pierucci started his first company Little Blue providing custom-designed sport clothing for college students in Argentina. He grew the company to become one of the leaders of the category in the country and expanded across Latin America. With his second company Big Blue Ideas, Pierucci developed products and provided branding services to top companies around the world including Disney, Motorola and Coca-Cola.
Pierucci's latest company Bluesmart is a global travel technology company that develops and produces Internet of Things travel products. The company is known for creating the world's first connected luggage. The brand successfully launched the world's first smart carry-on suitcase, the Bluesmart One, on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo in 2014. The campaign raised $2.2 million USD in contributions and became the highest crowdfunding project ever for a travel product at that time. In 2016, the brand released the premium Bluesmart Black Edition carry-on.
