  • 79 CE – Via Flavia (Dalmatia–Tergeste) built.
  • 1320 – Trieste Cathedral built.

  • 1382 – Trieste becomes a Habsburg imperial free city.

  • 1682 – Church of Santa Maria Maggiore built.
