Sudhan-Many Sudhans are of the opinion that they are descendants of Hindus. Research on this subject was conducted by Col. Dr. Khalil, a Sudhan who lived in Rawalpindi. There are a lot of Hindus and Sikhs who are members of the Sudhan tribe, most of these live in Kashmir.

According to Dr. Khalil Sudhans were converted to Islam by Auranzeb [1]

Mian-Quote -"... In the case of Kashtwar, the rulers of which were Muslim from the time of Aurangzeb. They still, however, retained their Hindu names and customs, and to the present day their descendants are called Mian. The rulers of Aknur and Rihasi belonging to branches of the Jammu family seem also to have embraced Islam ..."

Meo- Like most Indian Muslims, the Meos were originally Hindu; when and how their conversion to Islam came about is unclear. It seems probable they were converted in stages: first by Salar Masud in the eleventh century, by Balban in the thirteenth century, and then during Aurangzeb's rule in the seventeenth century.
