Biography
Levy was born in Sydney. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a BSc in computer science. He now lives with his wife Angela and their three children in Austin, Texas, in the United States.
Corporate career
Tim Levy began his career in the field of 3D technology and design, and in 1996 started his own technological marketing company for clients including Roland DG, Sony, and IBM. He spent several years in California's Silicon Valley as an executive and for Eon Interactive, responsible for sales, marketing and online strategy. Levy moved to private consulting for corporate executives; one such project for Roland DG became the "Australia's International Solar Boat & Hydrogen Car Challenge".
The Sydney competition was put together by Levy after several attendances as an Australian ambassador at Southern California's Solar Cup, the largest solar boat competition in the United States.
Children's media
Levy created the Car Kids series of children's audiobooks, which started out self-published but were ultimately picked up and published by the ABC and BBC Audiobooks. The audio books led to a series of live-performances throughout Australia. Levy followed up on their popularity by authoring a series of environmentally-themed children's books, Travel Kids, published by Random House.
Levy entered the television industry following a television deal against Time-Warner. He created and produced a children's television show called Groovedelicious/The Life Unlimited, which was aired for three seasons on Australia's Foxtel and Nine Network. The show was designed as a comedy entertainment magazine TV format and was aimed toward younger teenagers. Levy helped organise the Junior Rock Eisteddfod Challenge youth competition and hosted it in five cities across Australia.
Self help
Levy has embarked on several book tours across Australia and North America, and is engaged as a motivational speaker and private consultant for corporate executives including Vistage International.
Tim Levy began in 2009 to write a monthly self-improvement column for "Living Now" magazine, and has continued developing positive thinking techniques with his online program, The Energy of Money.
