Lucena is considered to be pro-PSUV by the opposition, despite that the position she holds must be exercised with neutrality. She has violated the norms she set for the Recall Referendum in 2016 and before that, she had announced the results of the elections in which the opposition won many hours, despite Venezuela using electronic voting systems.
