Thomson Rock (71°27′S 66°56′W) is a rock nunatak along the east margin of Batterbee Mountains, 3 nautical miles (6 km) east of Mount Bagshawe in Palmer Land. Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) for Michael R.A. Thomson, British Antarctic Survey (BAS) geologist at Fossil Bluff and Stonington Island stations, 1963-66.
