"Then the Morning Comes" is a song by American band Smash Mouth. It was released in September 1999 as the third single from the band's second studio album, Astro Lounge. The song was a successful follow up to the band's international hit "All Star", peaking at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 in Canada. In comparison to "Walkin' on the Sun", "Then the Morning Comes" also has a 1960s-inspired psychedelic vibe. This song was also featured on the 2000 compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 4

Music video

The music video was filmed in Santa Cruz, California and directed by Scott Marshall. In this video, Steve Harwell wakes up at noon and gets ready to get going for his day. First, the man himself meets the people at the beach and the band Smash Mouth plays there. Next he meets his girlfriend (played by Stacy Sanches) at the cinema. Then he goes to a bar in a hotel and meets her again and oddly enough, the band Smash Mouth plays there too. In the end they wake up and the same guy tosses his alarm clock on the floor.
