The warning verse (Arabic:آیه الانذار ) is verse 214 of Ash-Shu'ara chapter that was descended to Muhammad in the third year of prophetic mission. According to this verse, Muhammad was appointed to warn his closest kindred for converting to Islam.

The Context of the verse
In view of sunnah
According to the commentary of ibn Kathir, Allah commands Muhammad to warn his tribe of near kindred who had very close relation with Muhammad and to tell them, just faith in Allah saved people. Also, this should be done with kindness.
In view of shia
This verse is pointed out the second step of Muhammad’s apostleship. Muhammad is ordered to invite his nearest relations to Islam. Until that time, Muhammad hidden called people.
How to warn
When Muhammad got this verse, he asked Ali to invite all relatives to Abu Talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib’s home and to prepare food for them. The food was a bowl of milk and a feast of mutton. Forty people of Quraysh’s elder were invited. So Muhammad started his warning by saying "in the name of Allah" and then invited them to embrace Islam. He said "If someone give pledge of allegiance to me, he will be my brother and closest supporter", but no one did accept except Ali.
