History

The writing process for The Wimp & The Wild goes back 10 years. "The Wimp" is a re-recorded version of "Losing", the b-side of Whoops Apocalypse. Best Dream is a re-recording of the "Where Did I Go Right?". Fashion had been recorded previously in 1985 for the Swank TV program; that version unreleased until the Scraps compilation. "The Wild" was recorded as a demo called "Glasgow School of Art". "I Believe" is an alternate version of "Turn Off the Dream (Don't Watch the Nightmare)" from "All Balls and No Willy". "Focke Wolf" was written by Eddie Stanton and recorded previously on "The Whinging Album".
