The Student Council of Bukovyna

The Student Council of Bukovyna (SCB; #StudRadaBuk) is the youth public organization of individuals which consists of 19 universities of Chernivtsi and Chernivtsi region (Ukraine). The organization was created and operates on the basis of voluntary participation, self-governance, publicity and free choice of the territory of activity, equality before law, transparency and openness, absence of valuable interest of its members.

Contents

In its activities the Organization is governed by the Constitution of Ukraine, Law of Ukraine “On Public Associations”, active legislation, regulatory legal acts of Ukraine and the Statute.

Name

Full name of the Organization: Public organization “Youth association “Student Council of Bukovyna”.

Shortened name of the Organization: YA “Student Council of Bukovyna”.

Original name (Ukrainian): Студентська рада Буковини

Aim

The main aim of the Organization is satisfaction and protection of rights and interests of its members, student youth, attraction of youth participation in public life, contribution to positive changes in society, expansion of progressive ideas among youth. It is created to implement and protect rights and freedoms, satisfy public, especially economical, social, national-cultural, creative, spiritual, age-specific, ecological and other common interests of its members.

Activities

The Organization acts on the territory of Ukraine. Organization’s main activity orientations are:

  • Protection of rights and interests of its members; assistance in settling of issues on protection of their rights and interests;
  • Arrangement of cooperation among self-governmental student institutions of universities in Chernivtsi region;
  • Assistance members of Organization in making contact with youth from foreign countries for free exchange of ideas and gaining positive experience;
  • Assistance in increasing of public, political, cultural and scientific activity of youth, activation of youth participation in governmental life of Ukraine;
  • Assistance in development and activation, increasing of erudition and morality levels of its members and youth;
  • Increasing youth role in modern society;
  • Participation in creation of conditions for implementing the potential of young people, their self-actualization, development of creative youth and their education;
  • Assistance in development and discussion of youth politics projects, state and society cooperation projects in terms of active legislation;
  • Assistance in organizing and holding conferences, seminars, training-courses, exhibitions, contests, thematic gatherings on promotion of Organization’s aim and main objectives;
  • Participation in development and implementation of nationwide, regional, international programs, aimed at application of new approaches to public society development;
  • Expansion of Organization’s aims and perspectives.
